Providence has not done much lately, as in the last decade, as stated above. However, they have a very decent basketball history.
Joined Big East in 1979 (charter member). Previous 60 years as an independent.

Last NCAAs were 2001 and 2003.

Wow. Chuckwu is a monster. Competition in the new Big East is going to be tough year-in year-out.

Top shooters of 2014 class: It's bleacher report but it does feature two guys we are recruiting hard (LaChance and Macura).

Wow is right. Piv usually blows off recruiting questions saying you can never know what a kid will do until he gets on the court for college games. He must be changing.
