I'd rather play any other Valley school than them. They crap the bed against every other team, draw 2,000 fans to home games BUT when they play us it was always their World Cup Final and that place was packed and they were amped.

This sounds a lot like Drake too!

And Evansville.

And Illinois St.

And even SIU the last 4 years or so.

As of 3/13 looking for a Guarantee game
Thanksgiving week 3- @Anaheim (DirecTV) Classic (Marquette, San Diego St., Arizona St., Miami, George Washington, Charleston, Cal State-Fullerton)
Potential 4th game Home or Away as part of DirecTV Classic
@ St. Joseph's
Tulsa
California
Alcorn State
@ Long Beach State ('12 BB Return)
Nebraska
St. Mary's ('13 BB Return)

The other future Creighton schedules and the other Big East non-conference schedules so far are here:

http://whiteandbluereview.com/?page_id=293#bigeast

And yes for now farther down on that page are the MVC non-conference schedules that I am still compiling for the fun of it.

Anyone hear rumblings of the guarantee game being UMKC? Their new coach was on the radio this morning on 610 down here in KC, and they were asking him about his non-conference scheduling strategy. He mentioned they have some really tough road games @Louisville and @Creighton.

Actually, I was mistaken... it was 810 in KC.

But this UMKC message board seems to confirm http://umkcroos.proboards.com/thread/618/next-hurdle-schedule

MUCH preferable that our buy games are local teams versus SWAC et al. Good get by the staff.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

Not to mention that we are recruiting KC really hard.

Have to wonder when we'll start buying games with Drake and other MVC schools.

We scheduled UMKC? I don't know the date or the scheduling conflicts but it seems if we're going to schedule a Summit League team, why not make it UNO? UMKC is a total bottom feeder in that conference while UNO could actually compete with the top 3 after finishing middle of the pack this past season.

I like scheduling a few cupcakes this upcoming season but UMKC's RPI will probably be in the 300's while UNO's will probably be somewhere around 250.

Everyone likes to do favors for people. It could be very possible that they scheduled UMKC so that Kirk Korver could have an opportunity to play in the CenturyLink and also makes an excuse for Korver family reunion as well to celebrate something for Kyle. Wouldn't surprise me if that is the case. UNO can be in '14-15.
