God I love avalanche innings like this. This team is capable of just burying teams. Need the pitching and defense to hold up the rest of the way now:

A wonderful thing to see. Everybody hits today.
How did these announcers not pick up on the fact that Vetock pitched for Creighton? "An Omaha native"? Really, guys? That's all you got? Maybe their brains went soft from watching that Old Navy commercial and hearing that jungle over and over and over again.

Was honestly wondering if I just missed it because I thought surely they aren’t unprepared enough to be unaware of that fact, right? OTOH I wonder if they understand that winning the first game is a big deal …

Could be worth it to turn on 1620 for audio. I always prefer to listen to radio guys over TV analysts, especially in a situation like this where you aren’t getting anywhere near the top broadcast guys

In related Creighton + baseball news, Ryan Kalkbrenner threw out the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game today. I wonder if he could possibly be ready against the Razorbacks tomorrow? That’s what you would call…THE BIG UNIT!
