Nicky’s becoming the definition of a journeyman. Fifth team in the last four seasons, if you count a couple months on paper with the Cubs. The upside is that a lot of different teams see value in Nicky. And at least he’s out of Chicago (except for the next couple days).

The Rockies really, really like Ty. They’ve sent him down or outrighted him at least four times but they keep bringing him back. At this rate, they’ll probably name him GM by mid-summer.

It’s good work if you can get it.

Good to see so many guys on opening day rosters. Speaking of the majors, who from this year’s squad do you think will make the majors some day?

Nicky pitches the final out today. Angels didn't want to blow out their staff for an 8-1 game. He walked one and then had a fly-out to end the inning. They didn't have to pitch the 9th because the Sox were ahead. His first pitch reached 90+. Then he settled down into the mid 60s.

Collins was sent up to pinch-hit for the Brewers today in the 6th at Yankees. Bases loaded, two outs, Brewers down a run. A 10-pitch AB, as the nation held its breath. Then...a force out at second.

There'll be better days for MLB Jays.

Collins hit .118 last season in just 17 mlb AB’s and hit .229 in spring trading in 41 AB’s. He’ll need to show he can swing the lumber. After the pinch hit groundout, he did get a hit yesterday in his second AB, so hitting .500 on the regular season.
