10 to 0! North has 2 hrs. Capece is 3 for 3. Sailers 2 for 3. All around solid game so far. Koosman pitched well again. 6th inning.

Yes indeed they did. The announcers were even unsure if the game would continue, they basically said we will see after the 3rd out in the bottom of the 7th, lol….

Maybe UNO had a scheduled bus to catch. New York has its subway series. In a few short years, Omaha will have its trolley series. The promotional opportunities are unlimited

Creighton probably wouldn't have minded playing two more and getting some work in for the bottom of the bench bats and arms.
Weird season for UNO in that they won a road game each vs LSU and a quality Kansas team but have otherwise been terrible.

As far as Sunday curfews go, does Blossom have anything to do with it, or is setting the curfew strictly between the head coaches and umpires?

Creighton was fortunate that there were two late flights for Saint Mary's to choose from going to SFO on Sunday night, an 8:45 and 9:00, both on SWA. I don't fly much and had no idea you could get to SFO that late from Omaha.

I used to go out to SF or L.A. several times a year for work. The late night flight, usually through Denver, was great. I could have supper with the family, head to the airport and be in CA sometime around 11:30 to midnight. Even with the late night, getting up about 7:00 the next morning wasn't a big deal, because your body thinks its 9:00. Beat the heck out of getting up at 3:00 to 4:00 the next morning to catch a 5:30 or 6:00 a.m. flight. Boss was paying the night in the hotel, so no cost to me.
