Are they really, really, really bad and uninspiriing?

Hard to know what to make of a teenager playing pro ball. U18 numbers from last summer are a bit more encouraging.

I note discrepancy on this link between his height listed as 6 foot 9 vs. current alleged 7 foot 1 - did he grow 4 inches as an 18 year old?

Probably just the nature of Euro kids and updated accurate info.

Seeing his short highlight video made me think Kalk 2.0. he'd be a great pickup on the tiny bit I've seen

His first games on there were when he was 16 it appears. Probably don't update those regularly.

He has a nice frame (looks a little stockier than Kalk at that age), has good form on his 3 point shot, good movement in the paint, shows nice athleticism (feet, springiness)...looks like lots of upside for Mac to further develop as he's so successfully done in the past.

Impossible to project someone to pick up the kind of defensive acumen that Kalkbrenner has, but this kid has a lot of potential. Offensively he has very good hands, moves pretty well, an finishes well. He can shoot from outside and seems a great fit for our offense. Defensively, he's long and seems to avoid jumping on every pump fake, but I think we'll help him a lot with footwork in the paint (on D and offense). He looks like the kind of guy the S&C guys can do wonders with as well.

Think we still need a portal guy for the 5, but this is a good pickup (assuming it's a deal even if I haven't seen the official statements)

Are we still going after this guy if/when we sign Freeman?

I would think so.

My 2 cents is your take freeman and maybe push King to the door and take the younger guy with higher upside
