Jamiya needs a picture of him staring down Diarra standing there with his fists up as he was dumb enough to try to throw down with Jamiya for his memorabilia wall in his future man cave. Ordinarily I’d say not appropriate to do that, but there are always exceptions. Anytime you can deliver an emphatic FU to Hurley is an exception.

Nice. Blank Uconn and Hurley with all their crap they pull. Neal would have kicked Diarra's A**. In this case since it is Uconn, I was happy to see Neal dunk it at the end and show some passion. Also, Mac giving it to baby Murray. Go Jays!!

St. Patrick's Day came 3 days early as all I saw was Green and more Green so I give my standout player of the game to GREEN.
Neal came in a close 2nd but not much from the rest of the GREEN team.
Win tonight and a possible 7 seed which would be great.
Do we have enough gas in the tank to make it to the finish line?

Jays are +6.5 all across the board vs St. John's. I'm going to pretend the Jays are in St. Louis where it felt like we won every year.

That was a lot of fun to see :)

Strange game in a lot of ways. Low possession game, but both teams were efficient: 126.3 offensive rating for us, 110.3 for UConn

We had our LOWEST Turnover% of the season, despite the refs letting UConn mostly play the way they wanted in the paint

Great job by the coaching staff to prep the team to find the bad matchups - no way Karaban was going to cover Green in the paint, and the way they focused on Kalk/Ash gave the team lots of space

First half and second halves were very different, and mostly because Hurley's constant badgering of the Refs paid off for them. We shot 1.704 PPP first half, and .962 second half. No way were going to shoot that hot for the second half, but a big part of their D in the second half was hacking Kalk and Neal every time they got the ball (and the UConn fans are still complaining about the refs, when the refs were the biggest change to allow them to eat away at that lead!)

In general I'd be against a dunk like that, but after seeing Hurley whine and bit** every single minute of the game, and seeing how many times Neal got hacked.. I can see why he did it

UConn is close enough to NY that last night was almost a home game. Tonight will be even worse with St. Johns - dreading the media coverage already. Only thing we can do is go out and win this one

Chicagojay, as always a great post.

The loose whistle really hurts us. It was amazing that we could win a game that was very physical

And, U Conn considers MSG to be one of their home gyms. When U Conn was making that comeback the crowd was one of the loudest, I have ever heard. And, their fans follow Hurley’s lead and complain about almost every call whether it’s deserved or not.

I can’t believe that we are going to the championship game after that first half against DePaul. Go Jays!!!!!!

I'm an old crusty guy and I fist pumped the Neal jam. Can't wait to give him an atta boy when I see him. Mac publicly has to act holy but behind the scenes he loved it too. You basketball purists know you loved it too. You ever notice how Creighton hardly has any pics in the BE promos? If you thought the UConn storyline was popular to Gus and Fox last night that's crumbs compared to what you are going to hear about college basketball's team of destiny tonight. We are up against the full gauntlet tonight. You better believe St. John's is supposed to win and thats how they are gonna report it. Keep that edge Mr. Neal and bring a couple of the other fellas along with ya to tonights game cause pretty boys don't win in the BE.

Thank Seattle! Jealous that you're there in MSG ! can't complain at all about this team's mental/physical toughness after a game like last night, but hopefully they have enough in the tank for another intense physical game vs. the team and the crowd

Based on law of averages dating back to all of our other big east championship games we’re due to shoot about 80% from 3.

I prefer games when we shoot 80% and they shoot 20%.
