DePaul has the second easiest schedule to date per EvanMiya. Don’t get too excited that they beat 7 sisters of the poor.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

DePaul up to 100 in Kenpom - not saying they are terrific but compared to where they were last year, it’s good to see a better team in the league. I think they might have been around 200 last year.

Right when it looked like Nova's loss to Columbia would be the Big East's noncon rock bottom, Seton Hall found a bigger shovel and dug a way deeper bottom.

The Hall today somehow managed to lose by double digits, at home, to a previously winless (0-8) low major. Monmouth, which just got spanked a few days ago by Presbyterian, toyed with the Hall before routing them 63-51.

Kid from Omaha scored 28 for Monmouth today. He’s 6’7 160lbs.

Abdi Bashir. Didn’t go to high school here though. Played HS ball at one of those basketball academies, in Phoenix. No idea how he ended up at Monmouth, but he's averaging 20 ppg and he's a sophomore. Seems like a sure-fire portal candidate. We can always use another 4, can’t we?

He did play in Omaha a few years ago at Bryan. He was a pretty non-descript player in Omaha. He then played at basketball academy in Phoenix. I guess he found himself at Monmouth this year and will probably be in portal for next year. Put up 38 points against Rutgers a few games ago.

His twin brother Abdul is tearing up JUCO right now and has picked up high-major offers, including Nebraska.

The twins played three years at Bryan before leaving the state, then both did a prep year as well. Abdi went to Monmouth, Abdul to Casper CC. Abdi was the better one when they were here, but he only averaged 6.1 PPG as a junior. Did not see anything like this coming for either one of them when I was watching them in HS.
