I started thinking this a year or two years ago… has anyone truly developed and gotten better in the past few years, that started here as a freshman? Guys seem to get here now and never improve.
The baffling thing is all three of those guys showed they could help the team in one way or another last year. Miller's struggles are somewhat understandable with the injury and position change, but everyone in the program raved about the work Traudt and Green did this offseason. No idea why it hasn't translated to the games in any way (and in fact seems to have had the opposite effect).
this 100%! Green showed a lot of development from getting on campus until the end of last year. Miller played really well last year, even if we wanted him to do more offensively, and Traudt started the season strong, but has faded now.
I think at least one and more than one will likely step up still. I think consistent minutes as things sort out have been an issue - Green's at 11 mpg, Traudt at 14.7, Miller at 14.4, and those minutes have been going up and down as well. We will need them, though, as we need the shooting Traudt and Miller bring, and we need the energy and rebounding Green brings. Don't envy Mac trying to get this all working in the same direction this year as he'll need to juggle this roster carefully
