The check has probably already cleared.
Exactly my point. He’s probably already made more than he would have in a season there.
I certainly hope no checks have been issued or cashed yet, unless it was a partial payment made in good faith to get him to come here. I can’t imagine the new world of college BB covers payment if no playing time allowed, should be contingent on actually playing.
NIL payments based on athletic achievement or performance are not allowed under whatever rules there are supposed to be. The money doesn't always get paid up front (or ever in some cases), but for those deals that are put in writing you're probably not going to see a games played requirement or anything like that.

So, this kid was in a pretty similar situation as Fedor as far as I can tell, even being 21 yo. He is being allowed to play but as a sophomore and has to disgorge some funds to a charity of choice. Interesting.

Well.
That report is encouraging enough. Fedor’s circumstances are very similar to ivisic’s case. So if approved, Fedor may be bumped up a class or two?
That means less playing eligibility, 3 years or less rather than 4 years ( no more COVID extensions). Some only expected Fedor to hang around for 1-2 years max, due to a shrinking NBA eligibility window (he is 21 y/o already). I suspect we may see him declare & stay in the NBA draft next spring.

I haven't heard a single person who expected him to be here beyond this season, regardless of what happens with his eligibility. Maybe I've totally missed something on that front, though.

Such a weird spot.
Creighton has a near-consensus Top 15 national team after losing 49% of our offense. This happens with CU's best offensive player (by some accounts) indefinitely hanging out in limbo, pending an eligibility decision by the NCAA. And from what I can gather, the details on how, if and when that eligibility will be granted is nebulous, at best.

Not sure how accurate this is but according to this site:
Tomislav Ivisic Stats are for 3-years and 69 games with 1,052 minutes played:
https://www.basketball-reference.com/in ... sic-1.htmlFedor Zugig stats are for 4 years but only 62 games (his first "season" was only 1 game) and only 924 minutes played:

It seems pretty clear to me that the resolution here is a matter of when, not if. Can't help but wonder why Fedor's case seems to have dragged on. But, then I remember this is the NCAA we're talking about.

Last season, Zvonimir Ivisic was declared eligible for Kentucky half way through the season on January 20.
The NCAA ruled shortly after Kentucky fans rented a big billboard right by NCAA headquarters.
Hopefully, we won’t need to resort to that.

Correction, maybe? I’m admittedly very unfamiliar with the EU leagues… just noticed Fedors seasons were in EUROleague and EUROCUP leagues and Ivisic was in a league called ABA… still trying to figure it all out

Yeah, it works much differently overseas with the same team playing in multiple "leagues." He's played nearly 250 career pro games by my count (in addition to all the games he's played with his clubs' U18 teams early).
