2020 class seems to be in a weird spot now. If Davion returns we only have 1 open scholarship, but we won't know the status on him and likely Tyshon and Marcus until really late in the game. Wondering where we actually stand on Walton, as adding another big to next years roster seems important with Epperson's health always up in the air.

We definitely need another big, my guess is a grad transfer since we havent heard about any 2020 bigs. I have no inside knowledge but it doesnt seem like we are recruiting Walton hard anymore, I never see Creighton assocaited with him in the last few months. If Mintz comes back, maybe we are backing out of interest in him?

I could see us going either way, though I'd like to see us try to find some more size. At least someone in the ilk of Christian Bishop, an athletic 6'7''-6'9'' guy who can run the floor and execute the P&R.


As for returning players, I haven't seen anything that says Ty-Shon and Marcus won't be back next year. To suggest otherwise seems like a stretch.

I can’t see it either. Marcus is just too small to get high enough to where leaving after this season becomes feasible. Ty-Shon has been quiet even with his stats being what they are.

same for me. I assume if Walton wants to come we'll figure things out from a scholarship perspective, but otherwise I think the team is best served if we can find a bit of size and athleticism from a grad transfer at best and a freshman even if no grad transfers can be found.

Yes Ryan is signed and also add A. Jones. Go Jays!

A. Jones is only 6'6. Yes Kalkbrenner is signed, but that leaves us at the 5 with Bishop, Kalkbrenner, and Epperson assuming he can recover properly from his gruesome injury. We went into this year with pretty much exactly that and lost Jacob in camp and currently have Kelvin not at 100%...playing with fire if we don't add another IMO.

I agree, just cant assume Epperson will be back (if he is that will be a bonus). Need another big.
