New KU recruiting article out this morning. 1 scholarship available. Might jump 1, 2 at the most. #1 priority are “shooters”. Safety valve pick for KU if top 4 recruits say no.

Agreed, Jays are in good position and with multiple scholarships open, I think Jays can convince Tristan there will be plenty of time available next year in the front court.

Is he waiting to see what other schools may come around?

no, he's waiting to see how many of the school interested shake out in terms of roster. He's stated consistently throughout the process his top two factors are 1) immediate PT 2) a staff he knows and trusts.

Sounds good for us. Our coaches appear to be very good at building relationships, and he'd have a unique skillset and physical type on our roster almost guaranteeing lots of PT

I like his approach. Says a lot about his character, IMO. No flakiness here.

We need him... badly.

I just hope it doesn't mean that Huss is entertaining a move? :o

The problem is more likely to be Murphy than Huss, if there is a problem at all.

I'm really hoping we have somewhere there to watch Tristan for this tournament. He has to be priority 1,2 and 3 right now to fill one of the 3 open slots. I'm hoping he'll decide sometime in April, but it sounds like he still has a few more visits (including us) to go on.

That was my thought when I read that. But Murphy wasn't really involved in his recruitment, was he? Huss was the main guy and has been for a long time.

And I thought that I read that he was waiting to see how the rosters shake out, as well as watching for any changes in coaching staffs. And it doesn't seem like there is any problem with stability in the staff's of the other schools he's looking at.

I figure it's a long-shot about Huss. But geezus... ya never know any more. Maybe he's being looked at for HC at a mid-major or something???
