Interesting. Based on the lack of chatter, I too thought we had backed off him.
He would be a huge get if we were able to land him. A long, athletic, and physical 2 or 3 that we could really use next year.

Apparently he got into a fight with teammate, but it might have just been a rumor.

Looks to be athletic, good measurables, offers from good schools, and a top 150 ranking by most services. I saw a tweet from Marlon Stewart recruiting him to Creighton. Maybe their relationship will be key advantage for the Jays.
I think it is really cool to see current players/commits help in the recruiting process. The recruiting messages can mean one thing coming from the staff, but can often times much more coming from peers.
Anyways it was a pleasant surprise seeing Creighton in the final 5 of a top 150 kid who many didnt seem to know about. On paper he looks to bring some things to the table the Jays are missing. Wonder when he plans to make a decision.

Apparently transferred to a prep school in NY where he is averaging 20 ppg and shooting nearly 50% from 3 (according to article). Plans to do officials to all 5 schools and decide in spring. According to crystal ball, Purdue (recruited him longest I think) and Pitt are favorites (backcourt mate is Pitt signee).

painter is on pretty legit hot seat - i'd think that will change the equation a bit if he doesn't survive
assuming that cuonzo's connections to the MW is why he's on Cal's list - i like our ace in the hole with kreklow who can talk about CU vs Cal
hard to lure a kid out of IN if IU is really after him too

Sellers went to see Dillard today.

I read he went for 19 points today and 5-9 from 3. His highlight videos tend to just show his athleticism. If he can shoot it along with his size and athleticism, Dillard is very appealing on paper. If I was granted the ability to determine who would fill the final spot of the known remaining targets, I think I would chose Dillard.

Although I think it's a long shot, it would be one heck of a pickup to get Dillard to CU. Looks like Pitt and Purdue are the favorites though.
