I know you can't name names, is it a PF or PG? I'm assuming it's someone who is an impact player....

Chill. In going after higher level recruits, expect that it will take longer for kids to make up their minds simply because they have more high level options. Another issue with high level recruits is that they are looking for someone that can get them to the NBA. No matter how good our recruiting gets, there will be some kids that take a pass. The key is to not take it personally and move on to the next guy.
Recruiting is about relationships. Regardless of what Cunningham decides, we absolutely will be recruiting other kids from the same AAU/high school programs in the future. No need to take potshots just because a kid picks a place different from where you think he should go... and, it probably should be added, Josh hasn't picked somebody else yet.

Wasn't really about Cunningham more about some of the other posts here - "maybe he will go to a Big 10 program and if he washes out there we can get him!"

I agree with AA. Taking recruiting personally or burning bridges is bad long term plan.
One positive that I have seen from this staff is that we are talking to wide wide net of highly talented guys. We aren't focusing our hope around one big time guy anymore.
We aren't gonna get yeses from a lot of the guys we talk to. That is because we are only filling a few spots each year. There will always be more nos than yeses. However, I think every relationship built could lead to a connection and a yes for the future.
If Josh finds another place to call home, maybe we can land Kain Harris or Jalen Brunson ect.
I trust the coaches to find guys that can play.

Holy smokes.
Poo-pooing Greg Echinique? I'd take one of him every four years in a heartbeat.

Ech would have squished Stainbrook. Having a defensive stopper at the 5 is a luxury.

I know he's a longshot but here is what an Indiana 247 writer said:
Just spoke with Cunningham, who told me he expects to sit down with his mother and his coach after his season ends to discuss when he might make a decision. He plays in his Sectionals tonight, and if his Morgan Park team wins, he plays Friday.
Looks like it's down to Indiana, Creighton, South Carolina, Bradley and Minnesota.
