Michigan St getting involved probably isn't a good thing.

They've been involved for awhile, just haven't offered (yet).

I'm pretty sure they offered a couple weeks ago. He had them listed in his final five back then.

From yesterday:

"Creighton, Bradley, South Carolina, Indiana, Michigan State, DePaul and more are currently pursuing him. Indiana, Creighton, DePaul, South Carolina and more have offered him. He also said that he looks to visit some schools and make his decision once the season ends. The available senior talked about what he looks for in a school and what type of role coaches have told him he’d play on the next level.

“I’m looking for a team that has a family atmosphere,” he said. “I also want a coaching staff that is going to push me like my High School coaches do and a team that will have fun together. Coaches have told me that I’d be a wing that would guard positions one through four. If I have a smaller player guarding me I’d take them in the post and if I have a big guarding me then I’ll take them on the wing.”"

Cunningham is a combination forward who can contribute to his team on both ends of the floor -- outside the arc and in the paint. Last summer you could see him standing behind the arc shooting and making 3-point shots for his AAU team, the Mac Irvin Fire. If a similarly-sized or bigger defender covers him away from the basket, Cunningham will drive past his man. Defensively, Cunningham is committed to covering his man, rebounding and taking charges. For his high school team, he produces more on the inside with offensive put backs and quick post-ups.

When Cunningham goes inside, he attacks the glass for second-chance points, finishes put backs and catches lobs above the rim. Defensively, he is not afraid to step in and take charges or dive on the floor for a loose ball. He is a productive player, as he rebounds with alertness and effort to contribute to his team.

With Cunningham having taken four of his five available official visits, he has a choice to make on his final trip. He will make that decision among Indiana, South Carolina, St. John's and Minnesota, though Michigan State is showing interest. South Carolina jumped into the race right after the early signing period.

"I am looking for a school where I have a good chance to earn minutes as a freshman and a coaching staff that will push me to my potential," Cunningham said.

Every single thing Josh is looking for is available for him at Creighton. He needs to look no further than the Jays. Learning from the coach, and father, who pushed a player to be one of the top ten scorers in NCAA history as well as immediate playing time. Bright kid, not too far from home, and a national TV stage to play on. His entire game could be displayed in our offense and he would get a top education. Continue the tradition being built here Josh and don't just become another top 100 recruit who gets buried on the bench at a Big 10 school who makes you promises only to keep you away from other schools.
