Then we need him to commit this weekend or we are out
This is just stupid. If this was your son wouldn't you want him to see ALL of his options?
I guess you haven't been paying attention to trends lately. Not talking from the kids POV, talking from the team's POV.

I don't think that's true. Three or four kids is a small sample size. It sucks being the bridesmaid, but just because a few come for a visit but don't commit doesn't make us chopped liver.

I think what I've seen is a lot of kids taking a lot of different visits and then deciding where to go to school. Give me the list of kids we have been recruiting who have committed directly after taking a trip to a school, especially when they have other visits scheduled. Step away from the ledge.

Isaiah Wright
JP Macura
I'll throw in Pierre Jackson to show I'm not referring to just this year
Thats off the top of my head, don't feel like researching

My last post on this.
Macura took many, many visits and then committed after some in-home visits.
Wright had Utah set up as his last visit and we all knew it was a long shot because he didn't want to be far from home.
Again - step away from the ledge, please.

Panic is in the air I'm afraid. I'm so glad its the coaches and not some of the contributors to this site, that do the recruiting. Take a deep breath everyone. Our coaching staff knows what we have for talent on the team, what their capabilities are and what our needs are and neither they nor we have complete control over the minds of 18 or 19 year olds. Take a deep breath. For those of you not interested in the "deep, cleansing breath" approach and bound and determined to have a full "melt down" maybe you should be spending time e-mail and texting Doug Elgin and see if we can get back into the Valley.

How about we work on keeping negativity and angst off the kids' recruiting pages?
