that would be my guess - although his clips show quite a bit of him initiating the offense and running off of picks, but he still seems to think more of a scorer than a distributer . I think Mac wants to always have a second ballhandler on the roster who can pair with the primary ballhandler and who can score and create a bit also.

Charlotte was 322nd in 3-point percentage. They had two guys who could shoot even decently. Not much spacing on that team, and it's hard to get assists if your teammates can't make shots.

He's primarily a P&R point guard. Excellent in scoring out of handoffs (big part of Creighton's offense). Was a really effective ISO player at the AAC level as well, which is a skill Creighton fans always want to see more of on the team.

A 6'8" forward led Charlotte in assists this year (3.3 per). Will be curious to see how the staff views his role within their scheme with a different kind of team around him. Would imagine they do view him as their point guard, but he does offer some flexibility depending on who else they get.

You have to factor free throw volume into his efficiency. He's a free throw merchant.

Even given his lower FT%, he still made about 60 more FT than Ash did this year so that's definitely something...

When I read "lower free throw percentage", I feared it is something in the 60s or worse. 80% is still pretty damn good. I get it that it isn't 95%, but you can live with a guy that gets to the line a lot and makes 80%. Same as hitting 80% from inside the arc, and someone who can have the ball in his hands late in a 1 or 2 possession game.

I remain convinced that TD will be very good for us next year. I am not as concerned about ball handling with this addition - although we really do need one more in case of injury or someone picks up a couple of early fouls, IMO.
