Be hilarious if he went to Seton Hall.
.

Or, Xavier. Except for having to face Luis two or three times, it’d be wonderful to see Little Richard pluck the BE POY away from Master P.

Pitino has always been scummy. Just because it's legal to pay players now doesn't mean he still operates ethically or within what the 'rulea' are.

The smoke was that he was going to to Georgetown once he shut it down, was it not? But with the season and resources Pitino has put together he was able to swoop in and steal him away.

the early smoke was from SJU - the late was from Georgetown.

I don't have a real issue with Georgetown as obviously Cooley and Bryce have a preexisting longtime relationship

Correct, it was.
You can imagine the mixed feelings on the part of Friar Fans. Hopkins used PU to rehab and collected a reported $500K NIL, largest payout on the team, playing in only 3 games. Rumor was that he was planning, almost from the start of last season, to transfer out but had a good thing going at Providence with the high paid rehab. Friar fans were saying all year that he could've played but wanted to preserve a year of eligibility to use elsewhere, and that the 3 games he did play were to prove to future suitors that he can still perform despite the injury.

Providence fans are relieved that Hopkins isn't going to Cooley, who is now persona non grata in Rhode Island, but how can they be happy that Pitino kept him within the conference?!

Last week there was a work crew with a scaffold going around the Providence campus removing all the billboards and banners depicting Hopkins, who was arguably the face of the university.

Another wrinkle is that Fr. Shanley, President of SJU who has given Pitino free reign, is the former president of PU, so the Friar Fans are now feeling betrayed by Cooley, Shanley, and Hopkins (or more accurately, Hopkins's dad, who was said to be courting other schools for the past year). Of course there was "tampering" going on, but it was going both to and from the player's camp.

The Crown is kind of fun to watch with several teams missing key players and teams missing players already in the portal.

Bisquick had 30 against Boise but Butler needed 7 more.

G'town kinda sucks without Sorber, and now Epps, Fielder and Peavy, but they gave it all they had with the players they had. Also, I hope our Charlotte transfer turns out as well as Brice Williams did.
