I hope this experience with Neal helps convince Mac that it is not a binary choice of athleticism vs "skill," and to get a couple of more players like Neal next year, since he brought the best of both worlds.

If it only was that simple.

Neal was coming off shooting like 24 percent or something from 3 at Zona St.

Guys who obviously ‘do both’ are probably priced out of our range.

Not exactly ground breaking stuff here but Neal if you could tell me Neal's stat line right now I could feel comfortable telling you how the game went. If he's 3-12 for 9 points or something like that the Jays are toast. If he goes for 20 and 8 on 8-15 FG it's a barn burner. If he goes off like Thursday...jays win jays win jays win.

Jays overall shot well for the first time in many games. If Ashworth would have been 3-15 along with others struggling the Louisville game would have been a nail biter.

It’s pretty simple, the Jays shoot like the last game the rest of the way they can make the Final 4 (more?). Shoot like the BE tourney today and we aren’t likely to be real competitive.

I think Neal taking the ball to the lane decisively (and effectively) has an impact on that perimeter shooting.
