Talk about YOUR Creighton Bluejays!

It was like we had some powerful motivation today, and I’m pretty sure I know what it was. Finally, revenge for Tugs Bowen.

1) Don't think I've ever seen such "smart" play by CU than in today's first half.
2) Jamiya was astounding! Great to see his mother in the stands!
3) CBS with a very satisfying and minutes-long love-fest for the Jays.
4) Amazing job by Mac. This job is VERY different from the one he signed on for all those years ago.
5) Hard to believe CU is making these kinds of accomplishments on a regular basis. I saw some very nice teams during the Apke and Barone eras, then DA took it a couple notches higher, and now we're somehow here.
6) Maybe I'm delusional, but we have a reasonable shot against Auburn.

Well, the team in blue usually wins in that arena. If the Jays play like this next game, they actually have a chance to beat Auburn, strange as it sounds to say that. This is what the team ideally was built to look and play like. Only thing to add is more bench production.

Definitely think some of Louisville's numbers -- wins, defensive numbers, etc., can be attributed to how weak the ACC was this year after Duke. Super-inflated some of the metrics.
Still ridiculous that they were an 8 seed and gifted essentially a home game. It was unfair for them to be an 8 and have to play us, it was unfair for us to be a 9 and have to play them, it was unfair to have to play a nearly true road game for us, etc. But the Big East absolutely prepared the Jays for that.
This is absolutely one of those teams that on a given night can play with and beat any team in the country. But on a given night can also struggle against any team in the country. Roll the ball out and see if we can get another performance like that on Saturday. The gameplan today was just perfect, and the fellas executed it about as well as possible.

I hope Mac learned a lesson on time out calling today. Loved the timeout when Louisville made a mini run and momentum had shifted. A week ago it would've needed to be a 12-0 run for him to call one. Maybe he reads the board??

I think the best part of that game, other than the total whopping we handed them in the first half, is that we never let them go on an extended run in the second. Amazing composure from everyone that saw the floor. I kept waiting for that dreadful moment when Louisville pushed it down to a 6, 7, or 8 pt deficit, and we never let them do it.

Totally out of character for him and was absolutely the best decision.

Kalk was gassed late in that one. I know it’s tough to play when you only play limited minutes but we really need King to give us at least 3 solid minutes on Saturday.

Three neutral minutes would help. Three only slightly negative minutes. It was literally an instantaneous spark and run for Louisville today before he could even get his shirt tucked in.
He has had some really strong showings in the past, but it sure seems like it's been a minute since we've seen one. Maybe he is just saving it all for Saturday.
