Coach...no. But would love to see him come back to the program as a GM/similar roll to Steph Curry at Davidson.

Grant Gibbs is an assistant NBA coach and former G League coach. I’d prefer a current college head coach like Huss but Gibbs should be in the conversation

Plus, he’s got that great wink.

I would be interested in the list of NBA coaches that have been successful in the move from NBA to college

because the list of failures is LONG

Drexler
Mullins
Ewing
Bob Hill
Paul Westphal
Jeff Ruland
Juwan Howard
Jerry Stackhouse
Rod Strickland
Reggie Theus
Mike Woodson
Avery Johnson
John Mcleod
Mark Price

I'm sure there are more - those are off top of my head.

I LOVE GG - one of my all time fav Jays. But history says only successful college coaches should be on the list - and that list should absolutely start with DRock and Huss.

The signs and chants from students about his credit card "incident" at Notre Dame, the airballed 3 with half the arena shouting at him to shoot, and the pass Gottlieb threw straight at the referee (who dodged it as it flew out of bounds) in the closing seconds of the game were pure comedy. And of course, Rodney, Ryan and Ben doing their thing. Gottlieb hates Creighton for that one night.

Great memory! The Civic crowd of 8,418 was rocking that night!
Creighton trailed late at 54-58 yet rallied to win it, 66-60. Future coach candidate Alan Huss hit his first career 3-pointer from the top of the key to lead the comeback. With the Jays up 63-60, the Cowboys missed a 3, then Gottlieb threw the ball to no one, out of bounds, leading to Doug Swenson making 3 of 4 free throws for the final margin.
Rodney played just 27 minutes due to being punished for being late for the morning shoot around, yet he still scored 20 on 13 shots. Sears hit some big corner 3's off of curls and inbounds plays, finishing 4/7 from beyond the arc. Gottlieb played only 19 minutes and scored just 3 points on 1/6 shooting.
The Bluejay faithful gave a warm welcome to former coach Eddie Sutton on his return to Omaha.

PS. I'm fine giving an interview to Gibbs but I'm still DeVries 1st, Huss 2nd.

I am really hoping Lamar can somehow pull an upset and win the Southland tonight, and then they get paired with the MVC champs in the tournament, because Drake vs Lamar is the matchup everybody's been waiting for. The halftime show alone would be worth the price of the ticket.

This is an incredible post.

Congrats coach miller!!!

Another feather in the cap of the Mac coaching tree. Man is elite at picking assistants. Whenever Mac either hangs it up, or if we moved on to a blue blood, Creighton is going have so many great candidates to choose from. Top of the list would be Drock and Huss

I would imagine Mason would go with him, but you never know.
