I was curious so I looked it up. Since we’ve been in the conference, POY has come from a team that didn’t finish 1st in 6 of the 11 years. Of those 6, 2 of the years there were multiple POY and the other winner was from the first place team.

Dan Hurley on 60 Minutes tonight. Focusing on the petulant child in sports. Sad.

4 players unanimously voted first team:
1. Kalk
2. Dixon
3. Jones
4. Luis

Ejifor and Peavey also first team (6 total)

And Kalk was named BE player of the week for the third time

There are always six first team because one of those six is POY.

How many years did the same guy win POY and DPOY?

I'd be happy to be shown wrong, but I'm pretty sure it has never happened in the entire history of the Big East.

Wait - are you saying Patrick Ewing never won POY in the Big East?
