On to the elite eight?
Congratulations! It’s hard to beat those defending national champions.

Massive win!! Creighton did something no other team was able to do during the last 2 tournaments by sending Texas packing.
Great resolve by the team after giving up set 1. Jaya and Kiara came through in a big way!!

Watching the Marquette v Penn State game and they still refer to CU as a mid-major. Really!?

I've been texting about that very thing. It's a recurring theme today. Sunderland started with it pre-match, then their in-studio goon repeatedly hung that label on us between matches (he included Marquette and Dayton), and now Sunderland's back at it. I know ESPN loves its lazy Cinderella narratives, no matter what the sport, but this plucky underdog crap is really wearing thin.
Except...are we a mid-major in volleyball? I don't know enough about VB to know the answer. The BE def is in baseball, for example, and I guess it wouldn't be that much of a reach to say the league is in volleyball. But, if the conference is a mid in women's basketball, to give another example, does that mean that all its members are too? So, is UConn women's hoops a mid-major?
I thought Creighton shed that label for good more than a decade ago. But one thing's for sure. We're gonna hear a lot more of it Sunday night.

Creighton made some key adjustments. Had Wait take away Skinner tips, and had Sis and Martin switch to hitting 10s from the right side instead of the middle.
I also like that Wait digs to our middles. Giving us multiple options. Not sure if many other teams use that strategy.

Postgame they talked about Creighton's win being an upset, despite Creighton being higher seeded and talked about how it felt like the Cinderella story of the tournament. They do realize Creighton has been a top 5-ish team all freaking season and only lost five set matches at Nebraska and Louisville, right? So lazy and tiresome.

The Big East had its best year since we've been in it and had only TWO teams make the tournament. Can anyone come up with a better word than mid-major? Paul Sunderland knows who Creighton is and what they've done over the last decade. He couldn't be more respectful of the program and has been an advocate for the Jays all season. Nobody in volleyball is disrespecting this team.

Marquette just stole set 3 to avoid being swept. Penn State had multiple match points but couldn't finish.

Need more of this!
