McAndrew hasn't been lights out (4-11) but outside of him the rest of the team is 10% from 3 (2-19) Someone has gotta start hitting shots. Neal should not be shooting 3's. The Jays knew what they were getting with Neal and hoping the Creighton style would make him a better 3pt shooter. After 6 games, safe to say so far that isn't happening (3-18)

Mason Miller is completely lost and still has yet to make a 3 (0-10)

McAndrew and Fred were prob the best players today.

All you doomers need to take a breath. We always play bad in Vegas AND against Mountain West teams (should stop scheduling both). It's only November, a lot of time for this team to come together.

Are you seriously asking if the coach who when s16, R32, E8, S16 the last 4 year is the guy? Clear for some odd reason you don’t like Mac.

Well we shot even worse than against NU - 19 percent 3 point shooting today vs. 29 percent.

I have harped a number of times already that we don’t have enough scoring. Some posted that scoring was not going to be a problem by saying look at our exhibition games. Exhibitions are not real games, there is about as much defense played as in NBA all star games. Scoring will continue to be a problem unless Zugic is approved and plays as well as is expected/hoped.

We do have a serious problem with athleticism (other than Neal). We can’t pass the ball very well, and can’t get the ball in to good position to Kalk. We can’t dribble well. This team needs serious basic passing and dribbling drills. Pop needs to be more selective in his three point shots, and Neal needs to not shoot any threes but simply take it to the rack. (Even if he misses 2 out of 3 drives to bucket, that’s more points than we are getting). The bench is definitely nonexistent.

Not looking good this year, I don’t think we are making the tourney this year. (After game analysis at TNT was Jays may not be a tournament team this year).

I think we are still a tourney team when / if Ashworth returns. The big question is can we tread water in the interim. Schedule is set up in a way where we may dig a hole that is very, very difficult to climb out of. Bummer.

- No Big East Tournament Championships
- Hasn't gotten past the Elite Eight
- Multiple underwhelming years

In almost 14 years


He built a competitive program but reached his ceiling as a coach. We need someone who can take us to the next level.
