Bidding war for an off the bench player! The college Basketball world has gone bonkers. He is not worth being in a bidding war. I hope the other team wins. This guy has bust written all over him.

I agree wholeheartedly with your second sentence. Curious to hear what you've seen or read that leads you to believe he will be a bench player for us, or a bust.

How does that work if it sounds like he's been a pro for many years now?

Apparently, overseas pros can now play in college (news to me):

Everyone chill out. Creighton is the fav. International guys take longer to commit

There is zero chance Ashworth isn't starting day 1.

What other teams are in on him?

When you said this, he must have verbally committed but hadn’t officially finished the process? Then between those two things, a bag got involved but then we became the favorite again and now we’re just waiting on the longer international snail mail process?

Not sure I understand this line of thinking. The best 5 should start, with or without Ashworth (or Zugic, Pops, Neal, etc.). Creighton has thrown out some excellent starting 5s, but the bench units have not been up to standard in recent years. Being able to bring guys like Ashworth off the bench to be an elite 6th man is the next step this program needs to take imo.
