The 2022-2023 schedule appears to be the best ever as far as quality opponents. It's great to be playing Texas in the Big 12 game. Can't wait to see who we play from the Big 10.

Should be a pretty exciting B12/BE challenge. It helps that it’s all in one week (Tues Nov 29 - Sun Dec 4th) to keep the focus on the challenge instead of the spread out version of the past.

IMO there are 2 BE basically guaranteed wins - UConn over OSU and Nova over Oklahoma (both at home). Then, 2 B12 guarantees - KU over Hall and Tech over Georgetown. Beyond that should be all tossups with a slight edge to the B12. Helps not having Depaul compete! :)

Assuming that the St. Thomas game is a go (although I honestly haven’t heard much but it’s lightly penciled in on WBR schedule https://whiteandbluereview.com/future-c ... schedules/

That would give us 9 games if we get a Gavitt home game with two horrendously-rated cupcakes in North Dakota and St Thomas (300+). Would be fun to get some more intrigue in the other 2 home games like:

University of San Diego - Catholic university and we could have honorary dollar beer night for Lavin

Drake - DRoc getting back here would be phenomenal. Might be tough to schedule

Texas A&M CC - spectacular job by Lutz getting his guys to the tourney right away

St Joseph’s - miss that flapping hawk just a little and still have fond memories of Dougie shocking their fan base

Who else could you see us scheduling to round out the home non-con? I highly doubt it’ll be another Power 6, but would prefer no more SIU Edwardsville or UT Rio Grande etc.

If this is the year we don't get a Gavitt game, we need to schedule a Power 6 team. We can't have this kind of roster and not have at least one highlighted non-con home game for the fan base.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears the Jays are 1-3 in the Gavitt Games and have missed 3 years participation as well. Someone said that this coming season is the end of the agreement...is that so? Will there be a renewal?

It seems to have been a great challenge. BE Record 1-2-3...One win, two losses, 3 ties.
It would be nice to get a great CU v Nebraska or CU v Northwestern matchup to pencil in an auto W.

Playing a H&H with Coach Lavin would be a great series - $Beer at both sites.
If possible I'd like to see the Jays vs UNI (Current Champions) or Drake. Loyola has moved on to the A-10.

We've beaten Wisconsin Northwestern and Nebraska in them, lost to Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State. Due for a home game since we've played 4 road games and 2 at home in them

The chances of scheduling a home and home with San Diego is nil

This seems to me to be an odd take.
What's odd about being disappointed that they didn't set up a top 5-10 matchup when they absolutely could have? And FWIW, Nova playing OU is even worse than our matchup.
If we were going to be paired with a team besides Baylor and KU, I would have preferred to see West Virginia since they're also projected to be top 25 in computer ratings and it'd be a fun clash of styles.
All this has going for it is us vs CB and it isn't even happening in Omaha.
Meh. Could have done better.
Texas is ranked top 15-20 in most preseason rankings and might be the favorite to land Tyrese Hunter. If that happens, they’re probably top 10. Texas was an awesome draw and quite frankly I’d rather them than Baylor. Fun city, brand new arena, got the Bishop connection—I’ll probably be attending this game and personally can’t wait.
Andddddd Texas landed him, it will be a great game, potentially 2 top 10 teams. I'm definitely going to try to get down to Austin for it, get some BBQ, tacos, and warmer weather plus I've heard the new arena is incredible.

Should be a good rematch for Nembhard/Hunter... last season neither were overtly impressive-

Tyrese H: 3 of 9 (8pts), 0-2 3pt, 2-4 FT. 6 Asts - 3 TO - 1 Rbd - 2 Stl - 1 PF
R2: 3 of 10 (10pts), 2-3 3PT, 2-2 FT. 2 Asts - 2 TO - 3 Rbd - 2 Stl - 2 PF
