So he either wants to go play for the worst major conference program in the country and experience losing at a level he's never experienced in his entire life, playing for a coach on his way out the door and with pretty much zero chance of any postseason play at all, or he wants to go to one of the top 3 or 4 schools in terms of history in the country.

Kind of like that John Mulaney bit about when you go out to eat and order something and they tell you your options for a side are either a salad, the healthiest thing on the entire menu, or fries, the least healthy thing on the entire menu.

Man, recruiting is so weird.

Or he's looking for a payday that only football schools or the bluest of blue bloods can afford.

Well THAT was fun while it lasted. There's an ass for every chair I guess. But it's hard to figure how this particular ass goes with that particular chair.

Baylor (and all the future D2 stars) can thank Hawkins for making major colleges take notice. I get the feeling we got the perfect fit last year… he might end up being o e of a kind and others will be a letdown.

Your summary makes it look like we’ve whiffed on a ton of kids in purple that may or may not be accurate at all based on the actual coaching staff desires and focus. Does all of this just reflect your opinion on things and then current status of the player? 19 players have had interest in the Jays but have landed elsewhere for one reason or another (didn’t like us as much as where they ended, coaches didn’t reciprocate, etc.)? I can’t make much sense of this.

As the title states: Transfers with CU Interest. Players in the portal- in black. Those who have moved on- in purple. Those with high CU interest- in red. CU commit- blue.

The list is comprised of players who either have creighton as part of their list of schools, creighton has been indicated as interested by known, reputable sources (Goodman, Rothstein, Borzello, CreighTakes, Creighton Staff, LJay, Helmzy, player Twitter/Instagram accounts, or other reputable sources). Board members have seen these posts and have informed this board. It is a running tally of those players with a reputable/reliable indication of interest (by the player or by CU). My 'opinion' is not part of the criteria.

There are over 1300 players in the portal. Yes, we have been in on roughly 20+ players...and those in purple have chosen to go elsewhere. Most of those in purple made decisions before we got in on Farabello, who was a late entry to the portal. It is what it is.

At the bottom are 4 2022 Recruits who have decommitted from signing letters. These guys have CU interest as well.

Thanks for all your hard work on this list.

Query: is it time to jettison all the guys who decided to go somewhere else (their loss) and focus on the future (those still available)? It would be a much shorter list.

Was spanning the dial on radio while
driving today, heard a stat that only 41%in portal (I think across all sports) end up at another school. The rest end up losing there scholarships. Anyone else hear that or have better info?

So sorry to have asked some questions around how your list works. When your title says “with CU interest” I couldn’t tell if you were implying they had/have interest in us, we had/have interest in them, or both. All the purple read to me like there are/were a decent amount of players that said they liked us but they sure were ending up at many other different places. The reasoning for seeing a player not come to CU is what is missing for my understanding.

So you’re saying that of the 1400 or so players that have been in the portal, there’s only one forward and one center left that has interest in us or that we have interest in?

Generally, when a statement like (Transfers with CU interest.) is made, it infers the interest is from Creighton.
A statement such as (Transfers interested in Creighton.) infers the interest is from the player to the school.

What I'm implying...is that those currently listed are the only reported transfer players left on our list,
with reputable reports of interest in CU or reports of CU interest in the player. I don't know/nor the members
of this board know how many players out there are interested in Creighton, if any.

If there are other players with CU interest or interest in CU by the player, when/if reports come out on those
new players and people lnform the board, I will gladly add them to the list. It is a voluntary running talley of
transfer players, not a definitive listing.

Why players made the decisions they made? Who knows? The transfer portal is a new toy, along with NIL. If
you ask all nineteen players, you'll probably get 19 different answers.
