Top 10 may be a stretch as we're losing 2 of the top 4 is almost all of our major statistics and our only consistent 3pt shooter while still being very young. However, there are a lot teams currently ranked ahead of Creighton that are either very old, have quality draft prospects or both. 15ish wouldn't surprise me but I think our advanced metrics would still be against us.

Big East coaches will probably slot the Jays about 7th in the preseason next year, just because.

G Noah Friedel of SDSU just hit the transfer market, 2 years of eligibility, Summit freshmen of the year and puts up good numbers, battled depression/anxiety issues this year so played a limited role....

I’m not trying to stir the pot here, but has anybody else heard about the possibility of Hunter Sallis coming home to Creighton. I won’t name my source on this but he said it is a possibility, albeit a small one. Said Hunter wasn’t happy with his PT this year, but I do know Gonzaga loses a ton of guards after this year.

Weird… I was watching the game last night and it crossed my mind. He didn’t look into it.

Hunter is super talented, and I’m not saying we’d turn him down or pass by any means. But, does he fit in with this current core? I feel like Trey is probably better than Hunter at nearly everything, but less athletic/explosive. If I had to guess, the staff really wants a guy who can shoot it on the wing next year to compliment the skill sets of R2, Trey, Art.

But of course, no such thing as too much talent. I feel like Gonzaga every year has guards who don’t play a ton as a freshmen who then blow up and have a good sophomore year. They also didn’t start 5 star guard Nolan Hickman who originally committed to UK. Those 2 will be in line for big roles next year if they stayed

The sallis rumor popped up on the husker board as well.

I go back and forth on this. R2 and Trey did not have horrible shooting seasons for freshmen standards, and Art shot 30% (13-43) after returning from injury. We lose our two best shooters (AOC and Hawk), but I wonder if the coaches are betting on across-the-board improvement in 3pt shooting from our freshmen. All of that is to say that maybe we don't need to replace our two shooters with only shooters. Perhaps you could count on some improvements based on confidence/ freshmen to soph. development.

What does that mean for the Sallis thing. I really don't know. I will be honest in that I was never super high on him because he looked like a project coming out of HS.

He plays for the overall #1 team in the country and he's not happy with his playing time? (allegedly) I'd maybe see it if they were 20-12 or something but hard to argue with Few's minutes management given their success this season. I'd be wary of him if that's really true.
