However, if this is our opponent every year, that some serious BS. Especially if they are not counting Marquette/Wiscy & Hall/Rutgers the same way.

Except we already played them the first year of Gavitt games. What a waste.

Woof what a Gavitt Games letdown. With our lower tier tourney it would be good to get another high major on the schedule (ISU, Neb, ASU, maybe* Colorado) or MW/A10 looks like 9 of 11 noncon slots are semi spoken for. https://whiteandbluereview.com/future-c ... schedules/

Nebbie shows up at 126 in the College Sports Madness Top 144. Shouldn’t hurt playing them this year for the first time in years.

I would agree that this isn't the type of non-con we're used to, but it might be the one we need with this team.

All of the turnover, new faces and young faces will likely need time to gel and develop confidence and experience in the offense and college game. 1 more low major game would be good to prep for the big east which is becoming increasingly difficult.

Every year we're playing the following top tier basketball programs:

Villanova
Connecticut
Xavier
Seton Hall

add on top of that a bunch of dangerous teams that have recruited well:
St Johns
Georgetown
Butler
Providence
Marquette

Any schedule becomes fun and challenging in this week.

I can remember the Mo Valley days and this schedule would have been a sure recipe for "win the tourney and your in, lose and NIT here we come"

Season starting before you know it

Full non-con has been dropped. Casually buried within the release is this stunner: Jays are playing BYU in Sioux Falls on December 11. OK then.

https://gocreighton.com/news/2021/7/29/ ... edule.aspx

Just six regular season home games. That's the fewest in a non-COVID season since Dana's last year on the Hilltop in 2009-10 when they also had six. So with UConn taking up one additional spot, the BYU game must be taking the other spot normally reserved for a home game.

Why in Sioux Falls? Would have been a nice addition to the home schedule.

I assume no H/H deal this way. That Sanford Pentagon has been pretty successful attracting regional teams to play a game there. Always wondered if they offered some good compensation to pull that off.
