No disagreement that CU’s 8-9 rotation is solid and worthy of being ranked.

Query: When is the last time CU didn’t have injuries, serious injuries?

Jays can afford no injuries if this is the extent of the 20-21 team.

Last year was a recruiting miss with Reef being capable but not a difference maker and a late grab of a mid-major player who turned out to be a mid-major player and is now at a mid-major school. That was it for frosh. This year the Jays have one frosh, although top drawer. Three freshmen in two years. You need to build with frosh and fill in pieces with transfers. We’re all getting used to the transfer thing being a primary recruiting Avenue I guess. Hoiberg Haven.

Freshman recruiting is still the way to build a roster IMHO.

GTMO may be on to something, but I'd still prefer we look for as many options as possible to improve our chances of finding the "right" one...

That said, Osmani's highlights are pretty decent...

Who’s left?

Jays go into the season with 9 eligible scholarship players?

This may be shortsighted or not taking into account what Alex O’Connell wants for his future - but speaking simply as a fan, I’m starting to hope a waiver is granted and he plays next year. Fact is, losing Ty-Shon leaves CU a shooter short.

I'm not sure he wants to play next year. I think I read where he wants to redshirt and that was his plan. His plan could maybe change if Denzel leaves early.

patience everyone

we have 9-10 solid pieces on a team that will be top 10-15 in the nation preseason.

Is there work to be done? Yes.

Will they land another transfer, or two? Yes

They have properly evaluated and identified ready-to-play 2021 talent.

We'll be just fine

Jamal Bieniemy, Ray Salnave, and to a lesser extent DeAndre Williams. I really like his game but not sure about the fit. He's looking to play right away next year. He's an older piece as well not sure he fits in with this group.

I am really high on Bieniemy. Think he not only fits the culture, but the scholarship matrix fits as well. He's versatile, an excellent defender, and has a good shooting stroke but needs to improve his confidence. A sit out year would do wonders for him and the current squad would benefit having to go up against him and O'Connell everyday in practice.

Salnave is an interesting player as well, his role on 20-21 Jays would be much different than he's used to at Monnmouth. Not sure thats what he's interested in seeking.
