Personally, I’m not convinced Shatel has any intel on the schedule. My guess is he is only going off of CU being a road team in BE-B1G challenge at Michigan this past season. Jays have yet to sit out so I’m guessing there’s a good chance we’re out this year.

What did Shatel say?

That we'll have a home Gavitt Game next season. I'm inclined to agree with LJay on this one - we haven't sat out yet so it's going to have to happen eventually. Obviously it'd be great to have a Gavitt Game at home next season, but we could probably land a Home/Home with a good, top 25 caliber program that starts at CHI next year given what we're expected to look like.

If we ARE to play in this thing next year, and we host a game, I would bet we get locked up with Iowa. They were 7th on that pre-season ESPN list that has us #2 and seem to be consensus top 10-15 for next year for most prognosticators. They were also a home team against DePaul from last year. Proximity and Top 10-15 match up seems like the route they would go. But maybe they would mix it up though and have Nova take on Iowa and Creighton and Michigan State lock up since those would be a different take/unique match-ups. It would be fun to play a blue-blood at home instead of an Iowa team that we could likely schedule at some point down the line. And that isn't a slight at Iowa as no matter who we would get paired with will be a quality team in respect to the 2020-2021 season and a huge win if we could get it.

Michigan State played at Seton Hall this past season. Can’t imagine Izzo going on the road two straight seasons.

Fair point...I didn't think to look about who/where Michigan State played last year.

Does it make too much sense for the Big 12 Challenge to schedule us and Kansas against one another and do it at the Sprint Center for next year?

Wow. Just wow to think that reading that is a real thing. But I'm pretty damn sure they want Nova back at Allen Fieldhouse after that game in Philly this year.

To be honest Iowa State is a no brainer but considering our lofty ranking I'm guessing Baylor. Imagine if they have to come to Omaha  that's some sweet payback and I'd take it any day... although I would barf having to play in Waco.

The best team by far is Iowa State, for so many reasons. I think we should play them every year anyway.
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Nova just finished a home and home with Kansas so I doubt they will play Nova 3 years in a row. Seton Hall is playing Baylor next year so they are out. My guess is Kansas on the road for us and maybe Wisconsin at home?

Wow. I guess we it would be a great experience for Mitch and Christian. Wow. How freaking awesome. And we would get a return game Z's senior year. Wichiturd fans will shit their pants with jealousy.

The Big 12 challenge doesn’t guarantee a visit from that school the following year. That is, it’s not a home-home series, so I would be surprised if KU would come to Omaha if we played at Phog next year.
