Keep updated on possible future Bluejays.

I dont thinknwe will see Davion or Jacob play for the jays again. DM due to a very limited role and JE due to injuries. I'd bet the staff tries to land Walton or another wing and then looks for a grad transfer big. The only minutes we lose after this year appear to be kelvin Jones, plus we add another 3/4 in antwann jones.

People should not assume Epperson will be back and if he's not, we are back to the same predicament we are in now, being small with just Bishop and Kalkbrenner. It's worked fine so far overall but there will be times when we want to play big or our bigs get in foul trouble. We need another big or PF next year....

When would he be eligible? And how many years?

Never mind. His Twitter says he would be a grad transfer with 2 years.

The UConn board said he would have 2 years left. He's a grad transfer so he can play next fall. Go Jays!

I don't expect Creighton to go the grad transfer route.

Not so much doubting you, but I just can rule out this possibility.......I could see what you're stating with a one and done grad trx. But a grad trx with 2 years, and the caliber of a 6'7" player like Towns???
Hear me out;
2020 - 2021 Season
Ballock
Alexander
Bishop
Zegarowski
AJones
Jefferson
Mahoney
Mitchell
Kalkbrenner
Epperson ???
2021 - 2022
Mitchell
Kalkbrenner
Epperson ???
Bishop
Zegarowski ???
AJones
I can't help to think that the Staff might be interested in looking at the possibility.

I can see why we won’t go the grad transfer route because we return everyone but imagine Z, Tyshon, Mitch, Towns, Epp/Kalk. Then Damien and Denzel playing their natural positions and the 4 when Towns is out. 7 player lineup and everyone will still get their minutes. Fun to think about.

Are Antwann Jones and Shareef Mitchell transferring?
IF we return everyone besides DM next year, and we got a player like towns, we’d have
MZ
TSA
Ballock
DJ
Mahoney
Towns
Epperson
Kalkbrenner
A. Jones
Mitchell
That’s 10 more than capable players in a lineup. Landing a guy like Towns, who hasn’t played in a year and a half (will be two by next season), would take minutes from DJ, Mahoney, and A Jones who have been in the program and will have proved their capable (Jones hasn’t played yet, but reports are he’s a good player).
