Nice pickup! We definitely have a ton of weapons in the backcourt this year. Gonna adjust my prediction to 9-9 in conference and a 4th place finish.
Should round out recruiting for the summer. I’d say sit on that scholarship and try to land a mid-year transfer

WBR's Matt D. caught up with Connor a little while ago. Should hopefully be a full article up on the site later, but here's a preview:
And here's an unprompted endorsement from former Rice teammate Miles Lester:

From the "Fishwrap"
Graduate transfer Connor Cashaw has chosen to complete his collegiate career at Creighton, a source confirmed to The World-Herald.
Cashaw will be able to play immediately for the Bluejays and has one season left of eligibility. He led Rice in points (15.5) and rebounds (7.1) per game last season.
Cashaw, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound guard, is originally from Lincolnshire, Illinois. He started 30 of 31 games for Rice last season and recorded 25 double-figure scoring games and six double-doubles. He was the 16th player in Rice history to reach 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.
He's the second transfer Creighton has landed this offseason. Denzel Mahoney will join the program from Southeastern Missouri and will have two seasons of eligibility after sitting out next season.
Check out this HS recruiting video, check out who assist on the first basket they show

Also cool to see him arm-in-arm with Brunson during player intros... Hope Jalen put in a good word about CU!

He's gotta finish his classes so he can graduate...

figured as much - but with a grad transfer not a big window to get him integrated with the guys and acquainted with the system and processes
hope he's a quick study

While always better to have more time with a player, his A/TO ratio, All-conference academics at Rice, the way he handled the recruitment and his quotes in the paper show a kid with a pretty high IQ.
Connor would seem to be in a good position to adapt quickly, at least on paper. Its hard to imagine a better pick up this time of year.
Excited to see what he can do. We're gonna need some leadership to help steer this edition of the Jays.
