When college sports writers make a prediction, that is information. The value of that information can absolutely be relative, but it's still information. I don't even think this is matter of two people having differing opinions. Factually, it is information.

I too am just doing my part. vivid_dude I most heartily disagree and, after considering my proof, even you will have to agree to the righteous nature of my position or expose yourself forever as a dimwit. If your theory were correct, even your contributions to this site would have to be considered 'information" rather than the mental masturbation the rest of us have believed them to be.

Taking one for the team. 26 pages to go!!

Creighton needs Bowen as much as Bowen needs Creighton. Not only will Bowen be a winner at Creighton but he will be a star, not only by Creighton fans but the entire nation will notice him in a Creighton uniform just like they noticed Watson and Patton last year. All this attention will turn to him and the team as they advance to the sweet 16 or even farther.

You just typed a bunch of words without actually saying anything. 93 sports writers giving their prediction is information based on every definition possible. Your "proof" wasn't proof at all. So, if you want to "heartily disagree" with factual definitions of words, you be you!!!

I seriously am wondering whether you're trolling me. You can't not see this. Again, the information might be bad, might be worthless, might be wrong - but Jesus...it's still information. I'm starting to worry about you.

Help me out on something... what's the appeal of Oregon to Bowen? They have Troy Brown Jr. at the SF position as well as three other 4-star prospects at the SG, SF and PF positions. If his true draw is to be "the man", then that isn't a great place to do so right? They have Miles Norris coming in next year too and are in on some big recruits in 17 and 18 still. If he wants to go far in the tournament, than Oregon is probably the best place of all schools on his ever-changing "list", but if he does indeed want to be a star, I don't see how Oregon fits.

Word on the street is that Miles is set to offer. Have to think they will be the new favorite when that happens.

With all due respect to vivid_dude, this makes my point. The predictors make Oregon the new favorite for 2 reasons, 1) it is the most recent place he visited and 2) it is a good program with recent NCAA success. There is no information or insight there that was new. Before Oregon became the favorite contributors to this site made the same point. Since those points were made here, others have chimed in with reasons why Oregon would not likely be where he lands. Equally insightful and providing greater depth than the predictor sites. Predictor sites provide some information about the athletes (schools that have offered, trips they've taken, recruiters for the schools that are pursuing together with estimated height and weight). But predictions about where they will land are offered for entertainment. Like Stephen A. Smith, they provoke. They also give people another form of horse race, they give you people to validate your hopes or dash them. Whose horse is going to come in. The fact that this part of their product is entertainment and not informational doesn't demean the product. Sport itself is entertainment. I'm tired now of this topic though not of our pursuit of Tugs. Vivid_dude, here is a selfie I just took. Now do I look like a troll?

It absolutely doesn't make your point. It was incomplete information. It may have been misguided information.

But it was still information. Jesus Christ above, sir, you can't be this dense. You seriously don't know what information is??? That is frightening to me.

And no, you don't look like a troll anymore. You've just doubled down on being stupid. Troll was actually the better option for you.
