It's going to be really interesting the reaction if he picks one of these schools that first made contact in mid April, after stringing along the original group of schools for six months.

If we've been slow-playing any other players in hopes of Tugs, it's time to yank his offer and get someone who actually wants to be here and we're not his last resort

You all are acting like this is the prom and someone's asking everybody else before settling on us. Heck I could care less if we're his 17th option if he ends up coming here I'll be happy either way. We still have two spots open and while I wouldn't wait all summer for him to make his decision, I think you can't give up on him at this point. Hope everything's still quiet after this unofficial....

So his mom is with him at Oregon. Isn't she quoted as saying they were not an option and he was sticking to his 5? huh

not to mention - it's one thing to take a visit

it's entirely another to pay out of your own pocket to fly halfway across the country to do it

I don't like being wrong, or being used without a kiss, but it looks like we're the "17th option" (as someone alluded to earlier in this thread).

Agree with HDMD and Oldfan - time to move on. At best we now "appear" to be option 8 - behind the original "other 4", and now DePaul, Florida St, and Oregon. The "sticking with the original five" sentiment/statement has vaporized and it's a reopened recruitment.

Good luck to him.

Doesnt appear CU is an option at this point. If he wanted to be here he would be. For schools like oregon to be such an apparent real option at this juncture is pretty much the writing on the wall.

Certainly if he wants to sign before the other two scholarships are filled...great. But they should be (surely they are) going hard after other options as well at this point. This one ain't happening.

I'm sure all the other teams feel this way. If he wanted to be at Sparty then he would already be there. Same with Zona. I don't think anyone knows including Tugs where he's going. He claims he's waiting for til his guts finally tells him a college is right but some of the times your gut never gives you an answer. Might as well flip a coin

Plan A: Hopefully the staff goes all in on Waters. Waters and Manny close out the class well. This scenario leaves an open scholie for a summer "get" or to use in 2018. Waters covers our last "need".

Plan B: is the Nawlins duo. Have to sit out 2017-18, but excellent talent. Fills all open billets.

Take whichever plan accepts 1st.
