If people are in the Chicago area and willing to face the cold, there were tickets on Stubhub for as low as 4.00 -- and that is main floor, not far from the center and not too many rows back.. the service fees cost more than the tickets, ha

Much better DePaul team then in previous years, however, I like the Jays to blowout Depaul here with Issac Traudt coming off the bench and hitting five threes. Go Jays!!!

New year, same old DePaul. Conference win loss record is 15-87 since 2000. At 1-7 this year, they are doing a great job living up to that standard again. Terrible.
Its a must win game if you want to win a conference title.

Unfortunately, two things:

1. The record might be 1-7, but this is absolutely not the same team as past years -- they are sometimes making life difficult for good teams, even though not closing the deal consistently. Marquette had to go to OT to get past them. They gave Georgetown a game in DC (where we did not). On their night, they can absolutely make this a difficult game for us if we don't shoot the ball well, which has been a theme in most of our road games.

2. We have some ridiculous record in Chicago -- one of those where you should get a feeling in the pit of your stomach about how "eventually" the pig will find a truffle, etc. I hate situations where we have crazy win streaks because it feels like the odds are just eventually going to tip one the other way.

The Jays are the better team. The Jays should win this one. Anyone watching this year's team go on the road and boldly expecting a "blowout" should be ready to be stressed and disappointed. I'll take one, for sure. But my attitude this year is to go game by game and take any win by any margin as a massive win.

They are streaky hot. We’ve seen what a streaky hot team that gets red hot against Creighton can do (Georgetown). Must knuckle down on D. DePaul isn’t likely to stop the Jays O too much.

Here's the Primer. Don't be deceived by their record -- DePaul is better than that. Three of their Big East losses have been in OT. They've got some players. With their three-point shooting, they can be dangerous. And with the 6'11" Skoglund's ability to shoot the three, CU will have to do some interesting things defensively with Kalk.

Fortunately, DePaul is a freaking mess defensively. They're the worst or second to worst in the Big East is just about every category. It might be closer than you'd prefer, it might be higher scoring than you'd expect, but CU should win.
