We are only favored by 3 1/2, that’s a really good bet to give that few points. I can’t imagine losing this game or it being that close. First few games in Big East play for Hoyas are always unrealistic betting lines for their fan base until they accept the program has not yet turned the corner.

Here's the Pregame Primer for the Hoyas. They're a big team that blocks a lot of shots, gets a lot of steals and does a good job on the glass. If the Jays have a repeat of Saturday, where Alabama got 30 "extra possession" points (off turnovers and second chances), it's gonna be tough to come out with a win. If they can improve in those areas, they should be OK.

I can promise you the Georgetown fan base does not influence betting lines.

Make Epps go left. He doesn't like going left. Make him go left.

Georgetown somehow has a massive fan base. They just don’t go to the games.

Common opponent is Notre Dame, we beat ND on neutral court by 4, Georgetown lost on Hoyas home court by 21 points. Games were two weeks apart, we played ND later. I feel confident about this one.

We should be the better team. But I've also seen us go in there and inexplicably struggle way too many times with better teams and poorer coaches on the Hoya sideline to every just "expect" us to go in and have a comfortable win. This year's team doesn't really seem built to cruise very often, so I'll go in hoping for a good shooting night, some improvement in getting the ball inside to our All-American candidate, fewer turnovers, better defensive rebounding.
Basically a whole new season starting today.

ND had all ACC Guard Markus Burton in the game against G'Town and he was out against the Jays, which makes any comparison Apples to Oranges. (Yes, he makes that big of a difference)

Yeah. Burton averaged 18.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the six games he played in before the knee injury. Scored 16 against Georgetown and drew five fouls, had five assists. Being without him against the Jays was a huge difference and makes comparing the two results pretty tough, especially if you're just going off margin of victory/loss.
