I thought he would likely return, but this takes so much guessing and hand wringing off the table. I echo others in calling for his number to be retired at the final home game next season. Kalk should end up #2 all time at Creighton in my book (with respect to Silas and others).

Also agree with others that this completely alters the expectations/trajectory for next season. Jays should be a Tournament team. If they gel early enough, they could do some damage.

Go Jays!

For those that believe the NBA wasn't even a viable option for him.

I really think Trey could have used another year as well. But hey, they've got to do what THEY think is best. So, good luck to Trey. He's a great college player.... Hoping he gets the opportunity to show he belongs at the next level.

VenturaJay, thanks for pointing out that the full interview was available

What a great teammate and person Kalk is. So humble.

It was great to hear that he is excited about Fred’s future. Also, interesting that Keyshawn pushed Kalk hard and helped him become a better player.

Gonna get a chance to really prove himself to the national audience in the nonconference with Dickinson and Omoruyi both on the schedule already, even without the Bahamas matchups yet.
