Edit:Nope this recent year. But he did shoot 43% from 3 his freshman year. Somphmore slump?

Actually was at 43% from 3 as frosh. Interesting point I missed before is he has two years left to play.

Gayle seems like a pretty solid fit, while his 3 PT % wasn't great last year, it doesn't look like he was regularly throwing up 0-8 games. Just had a rough five game stretch early in the year where he went 0-17.

I know you don't want to put unrealistic expectations on a freshman, but with the hype Johnson is getting a solid 2 guard who is going to allow room for LJ to grow is almost ideal. Gayle seems to be a good option in that regard and the possibility of a 2nd year has been a successful Mac strategy.
