Trey has already dropped 2 50-50 balls. Focus. Simple, small things.

UCONN very aggressive on O-boards to start. Will be worth monitoring. We could get killed there - alternatively could really open the game up if we are able to secure them going forward and get out and run.

Decent start. Would be better if defensive rebounding was a thing.

St.Johns did well there, too. Mac mentioned pregame that's going to be a challenge. When you're the smaller and less-athletic team, it's hard to be better in that phase.

Just need to hold your own early and get out in transition for a couple easy buckets. Will impact how much UCONN is willing to expend on that end if they get burned by a couple transition 3s early.

Board struggling mightily. We had a chance early to get out to a lead with some sloppy play by UCONN. Took a big blow when we couldn't get anything going on offense for about 6 mins. Nice to weather that storm, just need to keep it close into half.

nice they clawed back a bit there -- keep blocking out and good things will happen

add - stop with the stupid in play turnovers

UCONN playing some outstanding D. We have missed some open 3s otherwise this would be around tied. Feels like a heavy-weight March brawl though, so at least nice to see us for the time being hanging blow for blow. Worried we will run out of gas in the second half.

Jays have trouble getting a pass to the wing. UConn getting what they want. Difference in athleticism is glaring.
