I have. Friends are going to Milwaukee and predicting an upset. Mac and co. have. had a long time rest and prepare.

Saw a post today saying they just got back to practice and prep today — with Christmas in between, not sure they really got much extra prep in. Hopefully the rest has been good for legs and mental refocus.

Igadaro is a matchup nightmare for our roster and I assume Trey is going to be on Kam Jones so Ashworth is going to have to guard Kolek which...yikes. Hope the 3s fall

I think we'll see Trey start on Kolek. From there it will be interesting to see how they match up since Marquette starts three true guards while Creighton starts two guards and two wings. I've heard from a Marquette buddy that Stevie Mitchell is on track to play Saturday after missing the last four. If he starts, we could see Ashworth on Mitchell and maybe Baylor on Jones?

The interesting thing is Marquette is one of the best at not taking mid-range 2s and Creighton is one of the best at forcing them. It's going to be strength on strength on that end of the floor. On the other end, Marquette is one of the best at forcing turnovers and ball security cost Creighton the Villanova game. On the flip side, while opponents don't shoot a good percentage from 3 against Marquette, they have gotten a lot of 3s up against them. That could bode well for the Jays if they shoot anywhere near what they're capable of.

Wrote about a lot of that plus Kalkbrenner touches in my preview.

Agree that Trey will be on Kolek. Mitchell and Cam Jones will be very tough match-ups for the Jays. Sean Jones is a defensive pitbull and will wreak havoc on our PG. Expect full and 3/4 court pressing frequently throughout the game. Oso's passing in the lane will also be a challenge. Mac's game plan will be key and someone has to have a big game. Hope that we can keep it close. Will be there with my Creighton gear, loud and proud.....

if Jones dominates Steven, perhaps we'll see more of a bigger, better defender, in Josiah Dotzler on Jones?

Jays have won 7 of the last 10 vs the Warrior/GE's. Also beat them at the Fiserve last season. Excellent shot for a W.

If Jones dominates Steven (if they are matched up for some reason, which seems unlikely anyway) Mac will play Bello. He’s pretty much shown by now he is not going to give Dotzler a chance. Hard to imagine he would suddenly do so on the road against a top ten team.

If Jacob's source is right and Mitchell plays, that will be Ashworth's assignment. We don't have particularly good options against teams with bigger guards and if Mitchell isn't playing they have a pretty big set of guards to defend

And yes, we aren't going to introduce Dotzler to extended minutes in a road game vs. a top 10 team, particularly an aggressive defensive team going against Dotzler's approx 1.5/4.0 assist to turnover rate so far this year.

That last point may be a heckuva good reason to limit Bello's minutes as well - Dotzler AST/TOV% 6.9%/22.3%, Bello 12.4%/20.2% vs. Alexander 21.5%/12.3%, Ashworth 17.7%/17.0%. Have to get more from Ashworth, but Bello didn't play well in those extended minutes versus Nova either on D or Offense
