EIU is coached by Spoon's kid - and Jay is a good guy - so I'm cool with playing them and helping him out.

I think eaaaasing into next season with all the new faces and trying to figure out rotations and such is a good idea. The BE will be a grind. Picking up some Ws will help the (hopefully) NIT (or better) cause.

Not sure if the date has been reported but an Oklahoma site stated that Oklahoma at Creighton is set for November 19 which is a Wednesday.

According to this, we will be hosting South Dakota at the CLink this season. I couldn't find anything else to confirm this, but no one necessarily jumping in to refute it, either.

I'm assuming this is a "buy game" as well.

H&H with Arizona State starting in 2015-16 coming to Omaha, returning to Tempe the next year. Nice mid-level BCS program. Can't imagine use getting H&H with Arizona State and Oklahoma when we were in the valley. I might be at that Tempe game in a couple years...

Has there been any further word on whether or not the Big East and Pac 12 are entering into a scheduling alliance of sorts - similar to the Gavitt Games? Ras had mentioned this on one of the radio podcasts. Just wondering if the above games with Arizona State become part of that arrangement, if indeed the Big East and Pac 12 have partnered up.

Have no idea but I doubt it since this is a H&H. Any challenge probably would be one time games.

Definitely all for this. Interesting that we've been matched up with them twice in tourneys and we schedule a H&H with them. Must be on friendly terms.

Understood. I was thinking back to when the MVC/MWC Challenge came to fruition and the back end of our H/H with New Mexico (the game at their place) became part of the challenge instead of getting a 2nd MWC team on our schedule.

I like it more if we end up in this scheduling pact with the Pac 12 and get a 2nd game against someone in that league. Otherwise, if they do end up using the H/H as part of the challenge, then we don't get a chance (at least in the 1st two years) of playing an Arizona or UCLA...

With all that being said, and as you alluded to previously, there was almost no chance of getting the H/H's done with OU and ASU if CU is still in the MVC.

Creighton will never get Arizona or UCLA in such a challenge unless we are expected to challenge for a national title that year. The TV powers-that-be want Georgetown playing those teams not lil ol Creighton.
