The eight-team field for the Emerald Coast Classic has been announced: Creighton, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina Central, Eastern Illinois, Northern Arizona and Southern. The latter four won't be in Florida; they're just in it to provide home games to the four headliners the week before the actual tourney.

Games are Nov. 28-29 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, FL, which is in the panhandle. No television has been announced yet, as this is the inaugural year for this event.

i assume that we're not going to take our allowed every three years intl trip.

kind of wish we would - that trip to the bahamas was the springboard that launched things the last three years

and with the total makeover that's gonna be the 2014-15 jays - it'd probably help get some roles established (plus the extra practice time).

For those curious UNO released their home schedule today so we can kinda get an idea of what weekends are available. Also looks like if FS1 does doe another NYE kick off we wont have a home game this year.

I was thinking those were once very four year trips, not every three years. Anybody know for sure?

I agree that if one is available, we should take it this summer.

Disagree, there are few new guys this year so less need for this bonding experience. We will have many newbies in 2015 so to me that's the year.

Last I knew it was once every 4 years for those international trips.

Here's my writeup on WBR about the tournament. Looks like Creighton gets Ole Miss in the semis, and the winner of Cincinnati/MTSU in the title game.

This tournament will be on CBS Sports Network. Better than nothing I guess but next year, we might not be on ESPN at all.

Here's an in-depth look at the 2014-15 non-conference schedule so far.

Nice job as always. I think the last two games will be filled with 300+ RPI teams. It'd be nice to maybe play a team we know we can probably beat but not destroy us in the RPI. I like the idea of playing Central Arkansas. I don't know where they finished RPI wise last season but I am sure it was better than Alcorn State. A home game against a South Dakota State or the like would be better than those MEAC or SWAC teams.
