Miller was -2 which was tied for the worst with King who barely played. I thought Miller looked bad and his +/- showed it.
I remember when fans were all over Zierden while Mac said he was leading the team in +/-.
I'm glad Mac takes a good hard look at +/-. It's a team game and whoever helps the team win, plays.

I thought Mac’s substitution of Fedor after GT went to a zone was a solid move. Fedor seemed right at home. He made a great entry pass and hit a three in short order. He was plus 9 in the second half after a -5 in the first half in barely over a minute.

Miller sucks regardless of his +/-, he can’t do shit on the floor and he just happens to be on the floor when the other 4 players are doing good things, I hope he transfers out to a lesser school after this year. No reason to ever play him this year now that Green and Zugic are playing better.

34% isn’t good enough for this team to make noise

For comparison to legendary bombers, as freshmen (in the MVC) Kyle Korver and Wragge both shot 43% from distance while Ballock (in the BE) shot just 32% as a freshman but went up greatly subsequently.

The 3 pt line was also 19’9” for Korver’s freshman year and 20’9” for Ballock and Wragge’s freshmen year compared to the 22’1.75” its at now.

Also worth noting that the defenses Korver and Wragge faced their freshmen years weren't as athletic as the defenses Mitch and Jackson have gone against

For a physically underdeveloped true freshman jacking up 5 threes per game, against a very strong schedule, 33.6% seems like a good percentage. I'd bet his shooting statistical profile stacks up pretty well against other freshmen. Jordan Hawkins shot 33% his freshman year.

McAndrew just needs a full offseason of weight training and conditioning and he'll be solid next year.
