Dang. I was rooting for that one to materialize.
I think you're overlooking the other half of the glass here -- i.e., what it says about who's potentially coming back...
I'm selfish. I wanted the new Twin Towers of Kalk/Amari. Two three-time conference defensive players of the year in the same frontcourt. Drive the lane on Creighton. I dare you.
But your point is a good one. If Kalk comes back and this is somehow is tied to that, I'll never think of Amari again.
Has anyone ever won conference DPOY of the year FOUR TIMES in NCAA history? That should be reason enough for Kalk to return. History! NIL bags! Legend status! My happiness! He will have it all.
Kalkbrenner's the biggest key to this offseason. If he says he's coming back he could be this year's Edey and it could influence at least one key transfer to play the 2 (if Trey is going pro)

Our bag may not be as big as some believe. All conjecture of course.

Or our bag is being held in reserve waiting on Kalk and Trey.

Deivon only 6’ but 6.3 RPG and 7.1 APG.
40% from 3 after three years in the high 20’s
Looks like a stud looking at his stats. Anybody watched him play this year?

I saw him play against Iowa in the NIT. He tore them up and finished 19pts, 10 rebs and 10 assts for the triple double and followed that up with a 15,12,11 game against VCU.
And then finally ended the season vs Indiana st and was 6-6 from 3 for 28, 7, 6.
Seemed like he saved his best for the NIT.
