Mac is now the odds on favorite at the betting sites to be the next Indiana coach.

Looks like we are going to find out sooner rather than later who his replacement here might be.

Multiple betting sites? I’ve only seen it on the one. Mac may well leave, id be surprised for Indiana at his age. Hes not someone who is going to coach in his 70s

Well if some random overseas betting site says it, I guess it's a certainty.

Coach Miller to Murray State, wonder if this opens up a spot for Ballock or Jahenns to become a full-time assistant. Good luck to coach Miller, the program has had nothing but success since he's been here.

Miller was the associate head coach and a top level recruiter. If Mac is still our head coach next year, there is no world where Mitch or Jahenns should be promoted yet. We need a proven assistant with a track record of high level recruiting.

Kellogg will almost certainly backfill into Miller’s role. Jahenns or Ballock may or may not be considered, but it’s not to fill in for Miller directly if they get an assistant job

They need a high level recruiter, so in a way it will be replacing him directly. Maybe not with the associate HC title, though

Also probably increases the chance that Mason moves on. Mac is developing quite the coaching tree. I think there will be a lot of interest from other top-level experienced assistants in coming to Omaha and learning under him. I am thinking Mitch and Jahenns will have to be open to moving to other programs to get their first gigs.

I personally think the best hire for Indiana would be Collins from Northwestern. He has done a great job there with probably the most limited resources in the Big 10. A lot of writers from Indiana are very enamored with Mac’s style of play/offensive acumen and want their offense to be more exciting. There will definitely be a big push, and it will be telling if Mac doesn’t shut down the talk right away.

that is what makes this so frustrating. unless mac shuts it down, there will always be doubt. just hope there's a good succession plan whenever it does happen and not some lengthy coaching search.
