You know, the gentlemanly thing to do would be to buy everybody here a round next home game. Sure, the money might run out after a while, but think of the good will you'd earn.

While Neal played a good overall game and his dunk was the standout play, my standout player of the game goes to Kalk who dominated at both ends. Miller ended his long streak of great +/- games, while his minutes were taken up by Fedor, who also stood out.

Really nice win against a team that's been improving and is much better than their record. Mac's right that this one will look good as the season goes on.

They have the best losses in the BE right now:
@UConn in OT
Marquette at home
@Georgetown in their hot start (like us)
St Johns at home
Then they won 3 in a row and lost
@St Johns (tough place to play that team)
Beat Uconn at Home
Lost to us in Omaha

I don't know if they can win out, but they can win a whole lot of their remaining games - they have us at home and Nova on the road, but otherwise, I see them winning the other 7 games down the stretch

I'm not sure that we played out very best game against them (although they defend well (us and UConn are about the only offenses to light them up this year) and are really hard to defend when they are on offense), but we played really well and hit shots at critical times, and Kalk really dominated the action on both ends of the floor

Another nice win as Kalk continues to just dominate, I love this squad's possibilities. X's Miller very complimentary of the Jays and Mac in the postgame presser. Go Jays.

Also, Sean Miller was very complimentary of Mac in post game comments, pretty much saying Mac is the best offensive coach he has played against (although he did say Hurley was also in same level). Miller sure has calmed down since his Arizona days and no more tantrums on the sideline. I think this was a GREAT win, X is a very good team and will make a run in February and March and be in tournament now that their schedule will be favorable.

Miller has won me over. I was not a fan, but he seems to have changed.

At the very least, I enjoyed it when he forced Hugley to give the ball back to the ref after Hugley tossed the ball in the wrong direction after a made basket.

Miller making Hugley do that will be my lasting memory of this game. Funny sportsmanship lesson from grade school in front of 17,000 people.

I would love to do that, but with the prices in CHI, can't imagine it would stretch very far.

I am excited about our future:
1. Fedor played 20 minutes and was +8. Mac said post game that Fedor is very good at feeding the post. It seems like a very simple skill but we have not always been good at it and when we get Kalk gets going, we are a much better team.
2. Traudt had another great game. He is not just shooting well, he is hunting his shots. He is up to 51.7% in conference from the three point line. He and McAndrew combined are scoring 14+ points per game in conference. Traudt has been much better in conference overall. Both guys are starting to realize that they can hit a few buckets under the basket and that really helps the team.
3. Jamiya is over 40% from three in conference. While he has been a little up and down this season, the trend line is strongly upward. His defense is really good and his 2 blocked shots last night were great.
4. Kalk and Ash - these guys have been terrific (obviously ). I am a little concerned about playing Ash 40 minutes a game like last night. Kalk is also over 45% from three in conference play.

Can you imagine how we would be destroying teams if Miller can get even close to last year's shooting percentage?

Glad to see he is contributing in other ways - which is important - but man. two guys off the bench shooting over 50%?!!

Here's my gamer, touching on Kalkbrenner's milestones, Neal's standout plays and the shooting turnaround in the second half.
