Yeah, but then they'd have to shut down the program so it doesn't start to overshadow Herbie.

whenever mac decides to hang it up to golf year round, huss better be the first call.

DeVries 1st, Huss 2nd
Two great options

Right, because hiring a legend player as a coach worked out so well with Mullin, Ewing, etc…
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Gonzaga shot 1-15 from 3, but still won because Saint Mary’s shot 0-16 from 3. Talk about ice cold.

Maybe he's referring to the Doug Gotlieb from UWGB

Gottlieb would intentionally ruin the program to pay us back for 12/20/98. One of the more fun Creighton games I ever attended. The signs and chants from students about his credit card "incident" at Notre Dame, the airballed 3 with half the arena shouting at him to shoot, and the pass Gottlieb threw straight at the referee (who dodged it as it flew out of bounds) in the closing seconds of the game were pure comedy. And of course, Rodney, Ryan and Ben doing their thing. Gottlieb hates Creighton for that one night.

Thinking more about Jim Boeheim at Syracuse, Fred Hoiberg at ISU. Plus, Mac would still be a resource for Doug.

Doug is a good guy and a great player, but I cannot imagine a world where he is a coach
