Just announced that the injury to Georgetown's Thomas Sorber that kept him out on Sunday's game will end his season. He'll have surgery tomorrow.

We can relate as a fan base, with the late season injuries the Jays have had over the years. Martin, Zegarowski, Kalk, Nembhard...

It seems like we drop in the NET ratings every time I look, even when we don't play or even win a game. I think this Jays team is underrated and getting no respect. If we end up an 8 seed, I would certainly be afraid of playing the Jays in the 2nd round as a #1 seed.
How is Ohio State from the overrated Big Ten rated higher than the the Jays? We would crush those guys.

I have been saying the same thing about the NET rankings all year. The big 10 as always is way overrated. Some how Ohio state is ranked higher with a 6-9 quad 1 record. I don’t like Iowa and what I find funny is they are 1-12 in quad 1 yet somehow still in the top 70…get outta here.
And you’re right we did fall again, now at #38 even though we haven’t played since wed

Perform decently in a few big non conf games and beat cupcakes by 30+ points in the other 80% of your non conf = recipe to gaming the net. Then when they get into conf every game is considered a quad 1 or 2 game. The Big Ten and SEC have teams with 6-11 conf records or worse projected in the tournament. Oklahoma is projected to be an 11 seed with a 4-11 conf record and a non conf sos ranked in the 300s lol. Net is an absolute joke.

The Jays are most definitely underrated in the metrics. Alabama is being tossed around as a potential 1 seed and we played them down to the wire on the road. We are a better team than we were then and will be a heck of a 7-9 seed.
South Carolina is 1-14 in the SEC and a combined 2-16 in Quad 1 and Quad 2 games and is still top 90 in the NET. It’s an unserious metric.

Almost 12 years in the Big East. They won the regular season once and never won the Big East Tournament. The next 2-3 years will be rebuilding years without Kalk, Ash, and other departures. If they want to make something out of this season, they must win the BE tournament or at least make it to the elite eight.
