These are new. But similar to old school.

They're not a true throwback; Creighton never wore a design that had the circular CREIGHTON and BLUEJAYS circling the number. But they contain elements from multiple eras to create something new that looks vintage. Hard to do. I think they pulled it off.

The block type is reminiscent of what they wore in the Red McManus era in the 60s. The interlocking CU logo appeared on their shorts through most of the 1970s under Sutton and Apke. And the stripe pattern around the collar with the V-neck, and the little triangular notch on the bottom of both sides of the shorts, are callbacks to the Barone-era uniforms of the late 1980s/early 1990s.

So they covered three decades in one design. Pretty nicely done.

That was some really bad basketball. On both sides. Huskers are not a tourney team.

The Big 10 will probably get 10 teams in and promptly lose almost all those teams in the 1st weekend, count on it.

Williams had 26 of the corncobs’ 46 total. The rest of the starters had 11. A combined 11. Eleven. Just under 3 points per guy.

Horrible would be too charitable a word for all that carnage down there. Both teams shot a combined 20% from 3–which is also about what they shot from everywhere else too. Rumor is that muffled screaming can be heard from the Naismith gravesite.

The Lincoln chapter of the Bricklayers Union issued a bunch of new lifetime membership cards tonight.
